Merchandising Manager

The Merchandising Manager position involves planning, developing, and overseeing the production of garments from concept to delivery. Collaboration with various departments like design, production, and sales is crucial to ensure the successful development of the product line while meeting customer expectations and market demands. Responsibilities include collaborating with design and production teams to create seasonal collections aligning with market trends and brand identity. Inventory management is essential to oversee stock replenishment and prevent overproduction, optimizing costs. Managing relationships with suppliers and conducting market analysis are key tasks to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Developing pricing strategies, accurate sales forecasting, and coordinating with cross-functional teams are vital for success. Quality control throughout the development and manufacturing processes is a priority. Providing regular reports on product performance, sales trends, and inventory levels is necessary. Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Skills required include a strong understanding of garment production processes, excellent communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in merchandising software and Microsoft Office Suite, analytical abilities, and strong organizational skills.
