• Develop and execute strategic buying plans aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze consumer trends, sales data, MIS reports, and market insights to finalize the optimal product mix.
• Build and manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
• Ensure product quality, compliance, timely deliveries, and budget adherence.
• Track competition and introduce new categories based on data-driven insights.
• Lead merchandise and inventory planning using demand forecasts and data analytics.
• Monitor stock levels through MIS dashboards to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
• Align inventory with promotions, seasonality, and sales plans in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Manage inventory turnover, allocations, pricing, markdowns, and clearances using analytical inputs.
• Implement best practices in buying, planning, and merchandising supported by MIS and analytics.
• Analyze KPIs to measure buying efficiency, inventory health, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and provide actionable insights to senior management.
