MEP Technician - Electrician / Mechanical

JOB LOCATION: Ambernath, Mumbai, Maharashtra. JOB TITLE: Maintenance Technician - Electrician Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues using strong technical knowledge to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Install, maintain and repair plant electrical systems, motors, control panels and related equipment as per operational requirements. Monitor and record daily power consumption across different areas of the facility and escalate any discrepancies or abnormalities to management for corrective action. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance as per schedule to identify potential faults and prevent equipment breakdowns. Work closely with production, utilities and QA teams to ensure smooth operations and minimize equipment-related disruptions. Identify areas for improvement in electrical systems and energy utilization to enhance efficiency, reliability and cost savings. Qualification & Experience ITI or Diploma (Polytechnic) in Electrical Engineering. 2–4 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within the dairy, food processing or FMCG industry. Key Skills & Competencies Strong technical and problem-solving abilities. Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and safety protocols. Team player for coordination with cross-functional departments. Proactive in preventive maintenance and cost optimization initiatives. Install, maintain, and repair plant machinery and equipment, including Pasteurizers, Falling Film Evaporators, Cold Rooms, Compressors, Pumps and other production related assets. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, perform repairs and maintain accurate records of spare parts consumption. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify potential issues and prevent unplanned downtime. Work closely with production, QA and utilities teams to ensure seamless operations and minimize disruptions. Identify opportunities for mechanical improvements, cost savings and enhanced equipment performance within the facility. Qualification & Experience ITI / Diploma (Polytechnic) in Mechanical Engineering. 2–4 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within dairy, food processing or FMCG industries. Key Skills & Competencies Hands-on experience with plant machinery, preventive maintenance and breakdown management. Understanding of Indian safety regulations applicable to industrial mechanical operations. Familiarity with equipment such as pasteurizers, evaporators, compressors, pumps and cold storage systems.
