MEP Engineer

1. Design Review & Planning

Interpret and review MEP drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

Ensure design intent is met while adapting to site conditions.

Prepare coordination drawings to avoid clashes with architectural/interior layouts.

Conduct load calculations, HVAC sizing, plumbing layouts, and electrical distribution plans.

2. Quality Control & Compliance

Review and approve vendor/contractor shop drawings and material submittals.

Ensure adherence to IS codes, NBC, and relevant international standards.

Conduct site inspections to ensure installation quality meets design and safety requirements.

3. Execution & Site Coordination

Supervise day-to-day MEP installation activities.

Coordinate with architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and vendors.

Troubleshoot site issues promptly to avoid delays or rework.

4. Vendor & BOQ Management

Assist in the preparation and verification of BOQs, RFQs, and cost estimates.

Evaluate contractor quotations and certify running bills.

Track material delivery schedules and coordinate procurement timelines.

5. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Oversee and witness testing and commissioning of MEP systems.

Prepare snag lists and ensure timely rectification.

Maintain complete MEP documentation for client handover.

Key Skills & Competencies

In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV systems.

Strong understanding of both PMC oversight processes and hands-on execution methods.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MEP design software (Revit MEP preferred).

Ability to manage multiple contractors/vendors.

Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and client-handling skills.

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

5–6 years of MEP experience in interior fit-out projects, with exposure to both consultancy and
