Mep Design Coordinator- AGM

Role & responsibilities

• Project Planning and Management:

  Overseeing the development of MEP project plans, and schedules, ensuring they align with overall project goals.

• Design Review and Approval:

  budgets, Reviewing and approving MEP system designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, ensuring they meet project requirements and comply electrical, with relevant codes and standards NBC, NFPA, ASHARE, Indian Standard, National Electrical Code(NEC) .

• Coordination and Integration:

  Coordinating MEP systems with architectural, structural, and other building systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

• Team Leadership:

  Leading and managing a team of MEP engineers and coordinators, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

• Bidding and Procurement:

  Managing the bidding and procurement process for MEP subcontractors and vendors.

• Construction Oversight:

  Overseeing the installation and testing of MEP systems on site, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

• Budget and Cost Control:

  Managing MEP project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

  Addressing and resolving any MEP-related issues that arise during the project lifecycle, including design conflicts and installation challenges.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  Maintaining accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders, and providing regular progress reports to stakeholders.

• Liaising

  with government bodies & other agencies to obtain all technical sanctions and approvals for smooth execution of projects.

• Compliance and Safety

  : Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

• Stakeholder Communication:

  Maintaining effective communication and collaboration with architects, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
  
• Specialized training or certification in MEP services/design coordination will be an advantage.

• 12-18 years of progressive experience in

  MEP design, coordination, and execution

  in real estate, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.

• Strong understanding of

  MEP design codes, standards, and local building by-laws

  .
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and project coordination tools

  .
• Ability to

  review, validate, and integrate consultant drawings

  with architectural and structural designs.
• Knowledge of

  value engineering, cost optimization, and system efficiency improvements

  .
• Well-versed in

  tendering, vendor/consultant coordination, and technical evaluations

  .
