Position Purpose

As a BIM Engineer at Duncan & Ross, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate, coordinated Building Information Models (BIM) for our projects. You will work closely with senior BIM Engineers, Coordinators, BIM Managers, and project teams to ensure timely and high-quality BIM deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in creating 3D models using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, or ArchiCAD, along with a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update 3D BIM models using Revit and other industry-standard tools.
• Incorporate design changes and ensure models remain accurate and coordinated.
• Follow all BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
• Extract and prepare 2D drawings and documentation from BIM models with precision.
• Maintain and organize BIM libraries, components, and families.
• Support clash detection processes and coordinate with cross-discipline teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare clash reports and communicate findings to senior members.
• Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings, providing BIM-related input.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM workflows, tools, and industry advancements.

Qualification Standards, Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in developing complex BIM models for large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of BIM principles, standards, and workflows.
• Ability to create and modify 3D models from design drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent interpretation skills for architectural and engineering drawings.
• Solid problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging BIM technologies.
