Job Description for Member Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

● Perform engineering design and analysis of members for commercial, residential, and industrial structures.

● Prepare and review member design calculations, reports, and supporting documentation as per project requirements.

● Execute design for various structural elements such as beams, columns, bracings, stair framing, railings, canopies, and trellises using appropriate load cases and combinations.

● Ensure all designs comply with relevant AISC, ASCE, and applicable codes and standards.

● Coordinate with the in-house detailing team to ensure design intent, accuracy, and optimization of member weights.

● Participate in design reviews and provide technical inputs for project improvements.

● Maintain quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all design work.

● Support continuous improvement by implementing best practices in design methods and documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

● Strong experience in engineering design of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.

● Proficiency in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.

● Sound knowledge of AISC and ASCE design standards.

● Ability to perform member-level design calculations and develop safe, economical solutions.

● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

● Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Desired Candidate Profile

● Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).

● 4–9 years of relevant experience in member design.

● Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

● Strong communication and teamwork skills.

● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
