Member Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design and analysis of members for commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
• Prepare and review member design calculations, reports, and supporting documentation as per project requirements.
• Execute design for various structural elements such as beams, columns, bracings, stair framing, railings, canopies, and trellises using appropriate load cases and combinations.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant AISC, ASCE, and applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with the in-house detailing team to ensure design intent, accuracy, and optimization of member weights.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical inputs for project improvements.Maintain quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all design work.
• Support continuous improvement by implementing best practices in design methods and documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in engineering design of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
• Sound knowledge of AISC and ASCE design standards.
• Ability to perform member-level design calculations and develop safe, economical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred).
• 4-9 years of relevant experience in member design.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
