Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare documentation team. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of hands-on experience transcribing and editing medical dictations with accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for converting physicians’ audio recordings into clear, concise, and error-free written reports while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to medical documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transcribe and edit voice recordings from healthcare providers into accurate medical reports, correspondence, and other documents.
• Review and verify patient information to ensure document accuracy.
• Ensure all medical terminology, abbreviations, and procedures are correctly used.
• Edit drafts prepared by speech recognition software for accuracy and completeness.
• Meet established turnaround times and quality standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify dictation or resolve discrepancies.
• Stay updated on medical terminology, transcription technology, and documentation best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Medical Transcription (CMT or RMT) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with transcription software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology.
• Other Skills:
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professional ethics.
