Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate must ensure smooth front-desk operations, provide excellent patient experience, and support the medical team in day-to-day administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Patient Handling

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Answer incoming calls, manage enquiries, and schedule appointments efficiently.
  • Maintain patient flow and ensure minimal waiting time.
  • Guide patients regarding procedures, treatment rooms, consultation order, and billing steps.

Appointment & Record Management

  • Maintain the clinic schedule and update appointments in the system.
  • Collect patient details and update records accurately.
  • Coordinate rescheduling, reminders, and follow-ups for consultations and procedures.

Billing & Cash Handling

  • Generate bills, collect payments, and maintain daily cash reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with the accounts team for payment updates, receipts, and reports.

Clinic Coordination

  • Ensure smooth communication between patients, doctors, and nurses.
  • Assist in managing patient files, consent forms, and procedure documentation.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception and waiting area.

Customer Service & Support

  • Provide clear information about treatments, packages, and services (without medical claims).
  • Handle patient concerns politely and escalate issues to the management when required.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and confidential environment.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a receptionist (clinic/hospital preferred).
  • Good communication skills (English, Malayalam preferred).
  • Basic computer skills: appointment software, Excel, WhatsApp, email.
  • Pleasant and patient-friendly attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in busy situations.

Preferred

  • Experience in dermatology, dental, or cosmetology clinics.
  • Knowledge of billing and medical documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,332.58 per month
