Job Description

As a Medical Coordinator, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of medical services. Your responsibilities include coordinating patient care, managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers. Your role is essential in maintaining accurate and up-to-date information, facilitating communication, and providing administrative support to optimize patient outcomes. - Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care. - Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally and empathetically. - Assist patients in navigating healthcare services and resources. - Ensure timely and accurate communication of patient information to relevant medical staff. - Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records, both electronic and physical. - Organize and manage medical documentation, including test results, reports, and correspondence. - Schedule and coordinate medical appointments, procedures, and tests. - Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and external stakeholders. - Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff to ensure seamless care coordination. - Provide clear and concise information to patients regarding their care. - Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. - Maintain knowledge of current medical procedures and terminology. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field is preferred. An Associate's degree with relevant experience may be considered. - Proven experience in a medical coordination or healthcare administrative role. - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and healthcare regulations. - Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. - Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. - Strong customer service skills.
