As a Certified CPC Coder specializing in radiology billing operations within the Revenue Cycle Management team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate coding and billing for diagnostic imaging studies. Your role is crucial in maintaining compliance with US healthcare regulations and offering growth opportunities within the expanding RCM division. You will be expected to review and reconcile CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for radiology studies, aiming for accuracy rates of 99% or higher. Conducting regular audits, ensuring quality assurance, and verifying regulatory compliance with HIPAA, CMS regulations, and facility-specific billing protocols are also key aspects of your responsibilities. In terms of revenue cycle operations, your duties will include preparing accurate invoices based on contracted fee schedules, validating invoice line items against study volumes and reimbursement rates, and collaborating closely with radiologists, technologists, and operations teams to resolve coding discrepancies and missing documentation. You will be required to generate reports on coding accuracy, invoice status, aging analysis, and collection metrics. It is essential to maintain detailed billing logs, reconciliation spreadsheets, and monthly facility billing records while identifying opportunities to streamline billing processes and enhance revenue cycle efficiency. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess CPC Certification from AAPC. Additional certifications in radiology coding are preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in US medical billing and coding, with a focus on radiology billing, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with billing software, and knowledge of electronic data interchange formats are also necessary.
