Role Description

We are seeking a Medical Coder for a full-time, on-site position based in Pune. As a Medical Coder, you will be tasked with reviewing patient medical records and assigning appropriate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services. Your day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining compliance with relevant coding guidelines, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, and supporting documentation requirements. You will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to clarify medical documentation and resolve any discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare record systems
• Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of healthcare billing, reimbursement policies, and insurance regulations
• Proficiency in medical coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Certification such as CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in health information management or a related field is an advantage
