Mechanical Manager

Role Overview: As a Mechanical Lead/Manager at Applied Materials, you will play a crucial role in the new product development machine for Lithography step for advanced packaging. Your primary responsibility will involve designing complex mechanical components, modules, and sub-systems while ensuring they meet market requirements. You will collaborate with project marketing and management to understand sub-system requirements and contribute to the system engineering specification. Key Responsibilities: - Designing complex mechanical components, modules, and sub-systems for new product development - Collaborating with project marketing and management to understand sub-system requirements - Contributing to the system engineering specification - Supporting system integration during assembly and final testing of new product designs - Troubleshooting engineering problems in your field of expertise - Driving the successful completion of tool safety standards - Providing remote and onsite support to field support personnel as required - Impacting the direction and resource allocation for programs, projects, or services within general functional policies and industry guidelines Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - 12-15+ years of experience - Expertise in system engineering, optical and metrology systems, motion mechanics, and high precision motion stages - Proficiency in structural FEA - Knowledge in flow and thermal is beneficial - Well-versed in 3D CAD design tools like Inventor and 2D CAD drawing tools like Nx, Inventor, AutoCAD, etc. Additional Details: You will work in a collaborative environment with a global team in Santa Clara, Taiwan, Japan, and worldwide field customers.
