As a Mechanical Lead/Manager at Applied Materials, you will play a crucial role in the new product development machine for Lithography step for advanced packaging. Your primary responsibility will involve designing complex mechanical components, modules, and sub-systems while ensuring they meet market requirements. You will collaborate with project marketing and management to understand sub-system requirements and contribute to the system engineering specification. With a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 12-15+ years of experience, you are expected to have expertise in system engineering, optical and metrology systems, motion mechanics, and high precision motion stages. Your proficiency in structural FEA is a must, with knowledge in flow and thermal being beneficial. You should be well-versed in 3D CAD design tools like Inventor and 2D CAD drawing tools like Nx, Inventor, AutoCAD, etc. Your role will involve supporting system integration during the assembly and final testing of new product designs, as well as troubleshooting engineering problems in the field of your expertise. You will drive successful completion of tool safety standards and provide remote and onsite support to field support personnel as required. Additionally, you will impact the direction and resource allocation for programs, projects, or services within general functional policies and industry guidelines.
