Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical systems and shop floor equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to CNC, lathe, drilling machines, EOT cranes, TIG welding machines, and other fabrication equipment.
• Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of water chiller plants and HVAC systems (clean room ISO-8 environments).
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Monitor and update maintenance records using SAP PM module (notifications, work orders, PR generation, and inventory management).
• Analyze machine downtime data using Pareto, MTTR, and MTBF for continuous improvement.
• Implement and sustain KAIZEN, POKA-YOKE, and other TPM-related improvement activities.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
• Coordinate with the production, planning, and safety teams to ensure minimum equipment downtime and safe operation.
• Support installation, commissioning, and inspection of new equipment and utilities.
• Maintain records, reports, and logbooks as per audit and documentation requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 3–8 years in mechanical maintenance in a heavy fabrication / process plant / engineering industry
• Hands-on experience in CNC machine maintenance, cranes, hydraulic systems, and plant utilities preferred
• Proficiency in SAP (PM module) and MS Excel / Word
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and industrial safety practices
