Job Summary

hands-on Mechanical / Hardware Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Design & Drafting

• Design mechanical components, layouts, assemblies, and structures using

  AutoCAD

• Prepare

  2D drawings

  , layouts, and detailed execution drawings
• Support basic 3D modelling (if required)
• Create BOQs, material specifications, and fabrication drawings
• Coordinate with vendors and fabricators for execution

Site Work & Execution

• Conduct

  regular site visits

  for installation, supervision, and coordination
• Take site measurements and validate drawings against actual conditions
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and other site teams
• Ensure work is executed as per drawings, safety norms, and timelines
• Troubleshoot site-level mechanical issues and suggest practical solutions
• Support inspection, testing, and final handover

Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams
• Maintain site reports, progress updates, and documentation
• Ensure quality standards and compliance at site
• Handle vendors, contractors, and service providers on-site

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD

  (mandatory)
• Mechanical design & drafting
• Site execution & supervision
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Knowledge of fabrication, installation, and assembly practices
• Basic understanding of tools, materials, and mechanical systems

Experience

• 25 years of experience in

  mechanical/hardware engineering

• Proven

  site work experience is mandatory

• Exposure to installation, commissioning, or project execution preferred

Education

• Diploma / BE / BTech in

  Mechanical Engineering

  or related field

• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to travel to sites as required
• Practical, execution-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and under deadlines

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Experience in industrial, infrastructure, automation, or construction projects
• Vendor coordination and BOQ handling
• Basic exposure to electrical/mechanical coordination at site
