Role Overview: Would you like to be a part of bp Technical Solutions India (TSI) centre in Pune, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services to hydrocarbons and new energy businesses worldwide As a Mechanical Engineer, you will provide deep mechanical engineering expertise, oversight, and support to Production & Operations (P&O) bp Solutions (bpS) Site Projects Team. Key Responsibilities: - Provide static mechanical and piping engineering expertise to P&O bp Solutions Site Projects teams - Support in front-end loading (FEL) and detailed engineering of projects by overseeing design engineering and construction contractor deliverables, equipment specification, technical bid analysis, and risk mitigation plans - Verify engineering contractor activities in line with project schedules and bps Engineering Practices - Provide mechanical expertise in project MoCs, quality assurance, and hazard identification processes - Review Vendor Quality Control Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and assist in FAT and SAT plans preparation - Facilitate in hazard identification and risk assessment processes such as HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA Qualifications Required: - Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - Chartered Engineer or registered professional engineer preferred - Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in oil & gas/petrochemical/refining/chemical industry with a focus on mechanical equipment engineering - Strong technical knowledge in piping design, pipe stress calculations, static equipment specification, and industry standards compliance - Excellent interpersonal skills and track record in improving safety and reliability at industrial facilities - Experience in brownfield projects, operational environment, risk management, and contractor performance management is advantageous Company Details: At bp, we are committed to reimagining energy for people and the planet.
