Mechanical Engineer – Helicopter Emergency Flotation System (EFS)
Location: Kochi, India
Experience: 4+ years
- Create precise 2D/3D engineering drawings for metal components, pipes, and cylinders integral to the flotation system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align mechanical designs with aerospace standards and operational requirements.
- Drive fabrication and manufacturing activities including welding, bending, and assembly of metal parts.
- Liaise with vendors and workshops to ensure production quality and feasibility.
- Conduct tolerance analyses, fitment checks, and design validations.
- Support prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing/design challenges and deliver practical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on mechanical design and manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace or defense.
- Proficiency in CAD tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes (pipes, cylinders, welding, machining).
- Experience with aerospace materials and regulatory standards (FAA, EASA, DGCA preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration mindset.
