Mechanical Engineer - MEP

As a Mechanical Engineering professional at Walter P Moore, you will play a crucial role in MEP design and site coordination within the real estate/construction industry. Your responsibilities will include: - Lead MEP design and execution activities, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables. - Coordinate with clients, vendors, consultants, and internal teams for seamless project execution. - Conduct and manage stakeholder meetings to drive alignment and progress across all phases. - Ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines such as EC norms, MOEF guidelines, IS codes, and NBC 2016. - Promote sustainable MEP solutions, contribute to cost estimation, and budgeting. - Review and approve contractor shop drawings and as-built documentation. - Oversee site inspections, material submittal approvals, and system commissioning processes. - Guide project teams in activities like mock-ups, sample flats, and final completion to ensure quality installations. - Provide technical leadership during handover and facility readiness stages. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. - 6 to 8 years of proven experience in MEP design and site coordination within the real estate/construction industry. - Strong knowledge of various systems including water distribution networks, WTP, STPs, SWD, RWH systems, building PHE, HVAC, and fire protection systems. - Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with tools like HAP, SprinkCAD, BIM is a plus. - Deep understanding of MEP design standards and installation practices. - Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external stakeholders. - A proactive team player with leadership qualities and a solution-oriented mindset.
