Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical systems and components for robotic arms, mobile robots, or automation tools. Work closely with electrical and software teams to ensure mechanical designs integrate effectively. Create 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360. Conduct simulations and stress analysis to validate designs. Build and test physical prototypes; troubleshoot mechanical issues. Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods (e.g., 3D printing, CNC, injection molding). Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and assembly instructions. Contribute to R&D efforts and continuous product improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s is a plus). Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.). Good knowledge of mechanical systems, kinematics, actuators, gears, and linkages. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and DFM principles. Experience with prototyping, 3D printing, or machining is an advantage. Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills Basic understanding of ROS (Robot Operating System). Experience in collaborative robots (cobots) or autonomous vehicles. Hands-on experience in assembling robotic kits or projects. Knowledge of sensors and embedded systems integration.
