Mechanical Draftsman

As a Mechanical Drafter, your primary role will involve creating and modifying detailed technical drawings and plans for automotive components using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the drawings meet industry standards and specifications. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineers to translate conceptual designs into functional models and drawings. Your input during design reviews will be crucial to ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly. Key Responsibilities: - Create and modify detailed technical drawings and plans for automotive components using CAD software. - Ensure that drawings meet industry standards and specifications. - Work alongside engineers to translate conceptual designs into functional models and drawings. - Participate in design reviews and provide input on designs to ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly. - Ensure that all drafted components adhere to regulatory standards, including safety and quality guidelines relevant to the automobile industry. - Stay updated on changes in industry standards and apply them to designs as necessary. - Utilize 3D CAD software to produce models of vehicle parts and assemblies for visualization and analysis. - Work on simulations and analyses to identify potential performance issues before manufacturing. - Maintain accurate records of drawings and modifications, including version control and updates. - Create and maintain technical reports, design specifications, and user manuals as required. - Analyze design challenges and propose practical solutions in conjunction with engineering teams. - Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing issues related to design discrepancies. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide time and cost estimates for design projects. - Help identify opportunities for cost reductions and efficiency improvements in designs. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar). - Previous experience in the automobile industry or related fields is preferred. - Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. - Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Familiarity with industry-standard practices and knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes. - Certification or training in CAD software and/or engineering drafting standards. - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline is a plus.,
