Mechanical Draftsman

• Key Skills -
• Experience in Material Handling System / Screw / Belt Conveyor will be an added advantage
• Design and drafting:
• Develop detailed designs for mechanical equipment and components using CAD software.
• Create 2D and 3D models of assemblies, parts, and systems.
• Generate technical drawings including sections, details, and assembly drawings.
• Incorporate design changes and updates based on feedback from engineers.
• Prepare Layout, GA & Foundation drawings
• Technical interpretation:
• Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to translate them into accurate drawings.
• Understand and apply engineering principles and standards to design components.
• Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements for components.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with mechanical engineers to discuss design concepts, resolve technical issues, and ensure project goals are met.
• Coordinate with other disciplines like electrical and structural engineers to maintain design consistency.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams by clarifying drawing details.
• Documentation and quality control:
• Maintain accurate and organized drawing files, including annotations, revisions, and material lists.
• Check drawings for accuracy, compliance with standards, and consistency with project specifications.
• Generate bills of materials (BOM) based on design drawings.
• Software proficiency:
• Expertise in CAD software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or other industry-standard programs.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering techniques.
