Mechanical Design manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical design and development of DG set containers with a focus on robust engineering and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee and guide a team of at least 10 design and engineering professionals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, electrical, and quality to ensure seamless integration of design to manufacturing.
• Drive the design and optimization of electrical control panels, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement assembly line processes and production tooling to enhance operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain detailed project roadmaps, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
• Apply structured root cause analysis methodologies to resolve design and production issues.
• Ensure designs adhere to risk management protocols, especially within medical device standards if applicable.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience working with DG set containers; candidates currently or previously associated with Kirloskar will be preferred.
• Solid understanding of electrical control panel design and integration.
• Hands-on experience in production process design, tooling, and assembly line optimization.
• Demonstrated experience in project planning and execution with detailed roadmaps.
• Proficiency in conducting structured root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).

Technical & Leadership Skills (Hard Skills):

• Electro-mechanical design expertise.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD software).
• Understanding of risk management design standards for medical devices is a plus.
• Proven team management skills, handling a team of 10+ engineers/designers.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
