Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

Summary / Purpose of the role

• Plan preparation & execution which includes Handling of SAP, Making monthly/Week-wise production plan considering customer requirement, product mix & production Optimization.
• Co-Ordination with Foundry, Production & Purchase for material planning and pump assembly
• Inventory management Synchronization within all agency, monitoring SAP Reorder levels, making liquidation proposal plan
• Scheduling of Orders
• Procurement agency (make or Buy), Lead times, Capacity etc.
• Monitoring MIS like- plan vs actual, material availability, inventory, Ready pumps, Released for assembly pumps, overdue orders etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Study of Pending Order Board for SMPD DBxe pumps division (DBXE , DBXE-SS , MF, SHM, KWLC,KFL,UNI, EURO,DB –large ,INIL)
• Order scheduling in SAP. Scheduling of clubbed orders as per latest delivery lead time
• Finalization of Monthly/Weekly Production and purchase plan
• Preparation of detail Bill of material plan. (DBXE plan and MF-SHM plan)
• Co-coordinating with Foundry, KIT and production for targets achievement
• Preparation of Master production schedule and monitor, review and take corrective action for any shortfall during execution of project
• Preparing of Various MIS reports. Like Plan vs Actual, Material availability, Overdue for DBXE Pump division
• Preparation of Foundry balancing report for SMPD weekly
• Anticipating upcoming bottlenecks in total manufacturing chain and action to resolve the same.
• Coordinating with Mega store for receipt of kits to division for orders released, for making stocks of components at AFU location, resolving system related queries from planning perspective
• Supporting purchase team for R3 clearance along with Foundry team and getting stock of R3 components done at Mega store
• Following up for rejection components in Manufacturing division for replacement castings with foundry or bought out components with purchase.
• Pump delivery period against enquiry. Informing sector about dynamic RLT as per orders on hand
• Creating PO to SO for KPML components
• Coordinating with Foundry for KPML requirement castings
• Agency /Procurement changes as per approval (Make or Buy)
• SAP BOM changes effects (MRP run after ECN and informing respective agencies of the change)
• Resolving daily SAP related issues from Divisions Viz. Production version, free stock, wrong location, M Level creation, credit note release back date etc.
• Planned to Purchase order for outsource machining case to case basis.
• Attending Short delivery and commitments and give priorities for pumps as per customer needs
• Inventory analysis.
• Deciding Min/Max levels and Stock planning for fast runner components based on past data analysis and revalidation on quarterly or half yearly basis
• Product lead time optimization
• Working on Office TPM project – OTIF improvement of DBXE pumps. Monthly presentation and updates to TPM coordinator and reviewing progress through project
• Coordinating with purchase for new vendor development, with material development of components (mainly for Pump casing & Impeller)
• New product development /New initiative drive – Presently working on DBXE-SS , INIL series
• Working on Material Master Data Management project along with IT team.
• Process pumps pending impeller diameter communication to Design and confirmation to Manufacturing
• Connecting excess inventory viz. pumps, mechanical seals, casing covers to live orders and liquidating it.
