As a Production Scheduler, your role involves creating and managing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing of products. You will coordinate with teams, manage inventory, and optimize resources to meet demand and control costs. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining production schedules to align with customer demand and operational capacity. - Determining and ensuring the availability of necessary raw materials, equipment, and skilled labor for timely production. - Monitoring and managing inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses of materials and finished goods. - Collaborating with other departments, including sales, purchasing, and production, to gather input and ensure smooth workflow. - Monitoring production costs to ensure profitability and implementing quality control measures to meet product specifications. - Tracking production data, analyzing performance, and identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency. - Identifying and resolving issues or disruptions that impact production, implementing corrective actions to minimize delays. Your key skills should include the ability to analyze data, forecasts, and production metrics to make informed decisions. You should have exceptional organization and time-management abilities to manage complex schedules and multiple tasks. Proficiency in production planning software (SAP) and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes are essential. Strong collaboration and communication skills will be required to work effectively with various departments and management. Additionally, you should have a strong ability to identify and troubleshoot issues within the production process.
