Material Planning And Logistics Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Steady State Production
• Lead & create production plan for Vehicle plant in coordination with internal & external stakeholders.
• Lead Claim process, review claim material (Line rejections, in transit damages, Outturn cases) in conjunction with TML & UK Packshop to determine ownership for investigation, containment & corrective action.
• Lead resolution of MP&L related concerns, work jointly with UK teams in analysing claims, raise E-Trackers, monitor and timely closure of trackers. Provide Claim reports and related information.
• Drive containment and resolution of top incoming parts Packaging & Logistics issues. Continuous improvement of Supplier, pack shop or Engineering Quality related concerns engaging appropriate stakeholders.
• Provide Monthly performance deck & report status in management reviews. o Audit Top high hurts - inspect lots, process walks, check material handling procedures for identifying root cause. Lead checks for Decanting and carry sign offs.
• Highly cost focused, drive continuous improvement both for cost and quality improvements o Co-ordinate material supply plan, lot & air packing through to delivery. Follow-up with UK counterparts for timely deliveries.
• Represent MP&L on Board walks, update Material supply status on all issues.
• Periodic audit of container condition prior to de-stuffing o Support in developing material handling processes & best in class practice
• Support Quality audit reviews and lead resolution of MP&L related concerns
• Co-ordinate issues containment and safe batch introduction Launch Management
• Represent MP&L in auditing lots for Pilot, PP and Final builds.
• Checks BOMs and provide reports on shortcomings for counter measures.
• Support MP&L standpoint during the launch of derivatives and model years
• Support daily board walk issue reviews and provide timely closures.
• Co-ordinate the containment and resolution of issues with UK teams. Follow up for resupply material required for launches.
