Company Name: Kia India Job Description: As a Material Handler for Line Supply/Receiving at Kia India, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials and products in our manufacturing facility. Your primary duties will include receiving incoming shipments, inspecting materials for quality, organizing materials for line supply, and ensuring timely delivery to the production line. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that all materials are accurately tracked and that inventory levels are maintained. Key Responsibilities: - Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. - Inspect materials for quality and compliance with specifications. - Organize and store materials in designated locations within the facility. - Prepare materials for delivery to the production line in accordance with the production schedule. - Maintain accurate inventory records and reports. - Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot material-related issues. - Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in material handling processes. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the material handling processes. Skills and Tools Required: - Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices. - Proficiency in using material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.). - Familiarity with warehouse management systems and software. - Good organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Basic problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities. - Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in material handling. - Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. - Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
