MAP Machine Technical

Job Title:

• Machine Operation:

Starting, stopping, and monitoring MAP machines during the packaging process, adjusting settings like speed and gas flow as needed.

• Material Handling:

Loading packaging materials (trays, films, etc.) and food products into the machine, ensuring proper placement and alignment.

• Quality Control:

Inspecting packaged products for proper seals, correct gas mixtures, and overall quality, discarding any defective packages.

• Maintenance:

Performing routine cleaning and maintenance on the MAP equipment, troubleshooting minor issues, and reporting major problems to supervisors.

• Safety Compliance:

Following all safety protocols and procedures related to operating the machinery and handling packaging materials.

• Inventory Management:

Monitoring packaging material levels, reporting shortages, and potentially assisting with material storage and organization.

• Documentation:

Completing necessary paperwork related to machine operation, maintenance, and quality control.
Specific Skills and Knowledge:

• Technical Proficiency:

Understanding the workings of MAP machines, including gas mixing systems and sealing mechanisms.

• Quality Consciousness:

Paying close attention to detail and maintaining high standards for packaging quality.

• Problem-Solving:

Identifying and resolving minor issues with the machinery or packaging process.

• Communication:

Effectively communicating with supervisors and other team members regarding machine operation and product quality.

• Physical Stamina:

The ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Gases Understanding:

Required Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelors/Masters degree in chemical engineering, biotech, food technology, operations management, or a related field.

• Experience:

  Minimum 4-5 years of experience in map operations, preferably within sweets industry.

Technical Skills:

• Blueprint Reading:

  Ability to interpret and utilize blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals to understand mapping requirements and machine setup.

• CNC Programming:

  Some advanced machines may require CNC programming knowledge for automated tasks.

• Basic Math and Measurement:

  Essential for accurately interpreting data and ensuring precision in mapping processes.

• Attention to Detail:

  Careful monitoring of machinery and mapping output to ensure accuracy and quality.

• Safety Standards:

  Strong knowledge of food safety standards like

  HACCP

  and

  GMP,

  as well as regulatory requirements.
