Position Overview:

Quality Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct

  inspection of fabricated steel components

  , sub-assemblies, and finished structures as per approved drawings and standards.
• Verify

  welding quality

  , dimensions, alignment, and surface finish in accordance with WPS and quality plans.
• Ensure

  incoming materials

  (plates, beams, fasteners, etc.) meet specified quality standards and traceability requirements.
• Prepare and maintain

  inspection reports, NCRs, test certificates

  , and other documentation.
• Coordinate with production and design teams to address

  quality deviations and corrective actions

  .
• Supervise and verify

  fit-up, assembly, and final inspection

  prior to dispatch or installation.
• Monitor

  calibration of measuring instruments

  and maintain inspection equipment in proper condition.
• Support

  customer or third-party inspections

  and provide technical clarifications when required.
• Ensure adherence to

  ISO / internal quality management systems

  and safety protocols.
• Promote a culture of

  continuous improvement

  in quality and fabrication processes.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualification:

  Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

• Experience:

  Minimum

  37 years

  experience in Quality Control within a

  Steel Fabrication / Structural / Heavy Engineering

  company.
• Strong knowledge of

  welding processes (MIG, TIG, ARC)

  and inspection techniques (WPS, PQR, WPQ).
• Hands-on experience with

  measuring instruments

  (Vernier, micrometer, dial gauge, height gauge, etc.).
• Familiarity with

  fabrication drawings, GD&T, and tolerance standards

  .
• Exposure to

  NDT methods

  (Visual, MPI, DP) preferred.
• Ability to handle

  documentation, internal audits, and client inspection coordination

  .
• Good communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
