Job Description

About the Role:

Manual Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Analysis & Test Planning

Review and analyze project requirements, functional specifications, and design documents.
Prepare detailed
test plans, test cases, and test scripts
based on business and technical requirements.
Participate in requirement review meetings and provide feedback on testability and potential issues.

2. Manual Testing Execution

Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Validate software applications against specifications and ensure they meet business requirements.
Identify, report, and track defects in tools such as
Jira, Bugzilla, or TestRail
.

3. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and defect logs.
Generate test reports and provide insights to improve software quality.
Suggest improvements to testing processes and best practices.

4. Quality Assurance Support

Assist in defining QA standards and processes to enhance product quality.
Support automation engineers by providing insights into manual test scenarios.
Ensure applications comply with functional, business, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to automation testing tools (Selenium, QTP, Cypress) is a plus.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
ISTQB or other QA certifications.
Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
