Manual Quality Assurance Engineer

You will be joining our team as an experienced Manual QA Engineer, responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Your role will involve designing test cases, executing manual testing, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance product functionality and reliability. Your attention to detail and in-depth understanding of QA processes will be crucial in maintaining excellence in our deliverables. In this position, you will be involved in various key responsibilities. You will need to analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test plans and test cases. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine acceptance criteria and test scenarios will also be a part of your role. As a Manual QA Engineer, you will conduct functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications. It will be essential to validate features against requirements and ensure accurate bug tracking and reporting. Moreover, you will be responsible for documenting, prioritizing, and tracking defects in collaboration with developers, as well as participating in defect triage meetings for timely resolution. You will serve as a quality advocate, promoting QA best practices and process improvements. Additionally, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality alignment. Providing mentorship to junior QA engineers and contributing to knowledge sharing within the team will also be a part of your responsibilities. Maintaining detailed documentation of test cases, results, and quality metrics, as well as presenting testing progress and results to stakeholders in clear and concise reports, will also be important aspects of your role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and at least 3 years of experience in manual QA testing, preferably in agile environments. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, proficiency in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases, hands-on experience with API testing and knowledge of Java, as well as familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira and Bugzilla, are required skills. Experience with automation tools and scripting, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git, exposure to performance or security testing, and certification in ISTQB or similar QA certification are considered advantageous.
