Manual Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, an eye for detail, and a passion for quality. You will be responsible for ensuring our platform meets the highest standards of usability, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
• Perform end-to-end functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and exploratory testing.
• Document and manage bugs with detailed reproduction steps using tools like Jira.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives as part of the Agile/Scrum process.
• Provide clear and concise test documentation and reporting.
• Validate bug fixes and production deployments in coordination with the release team.
• Ensure consistent testing practices across multiple platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
• Perform smoke and sanity testing during each release cycle.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Technical Requirements and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in manual software testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
• Hands-on experience in testing web applications, with a strong understanding of HTML, HTTP, and browser behavior.
• Ability to write detailed and structured test cases and test scenarios.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (like Postman) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of databases (e.g., MongoDB or PostgreSQL) for data validation is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a mindset for edge-case and exploratory testing.

Additional Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in working in Agile/Scrum development process.
• Ability to collaborate across distributed, cross-functional teams.

General Requirements:

• Availability to work during the IST working hours.
• High-Speed Internet and the ability to join technical video meetings during business hours.
• Having a good laptop or desktop suitable for manual testing tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of multi-functional teams.
