Job Description

Looking to hire a proactive and experienced legal professional to join our legal team for managing and overseeing legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration processes. The role involves close coordination with panel lawyers, internal departments, and project teams to ensure effective legal risk management, compliance, and resolution support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage ongoing

    legal disputes, litigation, and arbitration

    matters.
  • Collaborate closely with

    panel lawyers

    by preparing briefs, collecting relevant documents, and facilitating timely updates.
  • Liaise with

    project teams and other departments

    for discovery of documents and fact-finding relevant to cases.
  • Conduct

    in-depth legal research

    to support litigation strategy and internal decision-making.
  • Draft, review, and interpret contracts

    , agreements, and other legal documents to ensure alignment with organizational interests.
  • Support

    contract negotiations

    with sub-vendors and clients from a legal standpoint.
  • Draft replies, legal notices, pleadings

    , and other commercial/legal documents as required.
  • Maintain accurate legal records and documentation

    , including case files, contracts, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Provide

    legal support to cross-functional teams

    (procurement, HR, operations, etc.) on day-to-day matters.
  • Appear before courts, tribunals

    , and represent the company before

    law enforcement authorities and government departments.

  • Perform

    site visits to project locations

    as necessary for legal inspections, evidence gathering, or dispute resolution.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree (LLM) is a plus.
  • Enrolled with the Bar Council and eligible to practice law.
  • [3–7+] years of experience in corporate legal functions, litigation, and arbitration.
  • Strong understanding of

    civil, commercial, and contract law

    .
  • Excellent drafting, research, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as and when required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Experience in

    infrastructure, construction, or engineering industries

    is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with

    labour laws, regulatory compliance

    , and local legal procedures.
  • Proactive attitude with a problem-solving mindset.
