Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and network-driven professional to lead SS Scrap Imports from global markets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international scrap trading, logistics, pricing mechanisms, and import compliance. This role requires strong commercial acumen, global supplier connect, and experience in handling high-value metal scrap procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and onboard international suppliers of Stainless Steel scrap (EU,US, Middle East, Southeast Asia, etc.).
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts aligned with market conditions and company policies.
• Manage import documentation, LCs, customs clearance, and port logistics in coordination with CHAs and freight forwarders.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization in freight, duties, and consolidation.
• Maintain strong working relationships with global yards, traders, and brokers.

Key Qualifications

• Education:

  B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical / Metallurgy / Industrial) or equivalent; MBA preferred.

  mport and procurement of metal scrap, preferably Stainless Steel / Non-Ferrous materials.
• Deep knowledge of international scrap markets, shipping terms (INCOTERMS), and trade finance instruments.
• Proven experience managing customs compliance and port operations.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel internationally when required.
