Job Description

Warranty Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire warranty function for commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines, minimizing warranty costs, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This role will lead the development and implementation of warranty policies and systems, manage warranty audits, and coordinate with service centers, suppliers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: Warranty Policy Management Define and implement warranty policies and procedures aligned with OEM standards. Periodically review and update warranty guidelines in response to product changes or customer feedback. Warranty Claim Administration Monitor end-to-end processing of warranty claims from dealerships or service centers. Approve high-value claims and ensure timely settlement and reimbursement. Analyze claim data for trends and recurring issues. Cost Control & Analysis Control warranty costs by identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Work with engineering and quality teams to reduce product failures and improve reliability. Dealer & Service Network Support Train and support dealer and service center staff on warranty claim procedures and software tools. Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with warranty processes. Customer Satisfaction Handle escalated warranty complaints and ensure swift resolution. Drive initiatives to improve warranty service levels and reduce vehicle downtime. Team Leadership Lead and mentor the warranty team across regional offices and service centers. Set performance KPIs and ensure team alignment with organizational goals. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering (MBA preferred). 10–15 years of experience in the automotive (commercial vehicle) industry. Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing warranty operations. Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and warranty analytics. Key Skills: Expertise in warranty claim management systems (SAP, DMS, CRM platforms). Analytical thinking and cost control acumen. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Problem-solving and customer service orientation. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance norms (especially in commercial vehicles).
