Manager - Utilities and Projects

Role & responsibilities

• Area responsible- FBC Boilers, Ammonia Refrigeration Plants, Water Treatment Plants, Steam Tube & Paddle Dryers, and Air Compressors
• Routine inspection/Monitoring of all Engineering and Utilities equipment's in the site.
• Hands on experience in Utilities as Water system (RO/ Boilers / Chillers / Cooling Towers / Condensers / Air Compressors / Ammonia Refrigeration system / cold storages.
• Manage / Control Manpower and allotting jobs to contract people as and when required.
• Generating of Daily & Monthly reports like (Utility consumptions, Service Maintenance, Break downs etc.)
• Responsible for verification of Planned / Scheduled and Implementation of Preventive Maintenance / Calibration Program of all Equipment's and Instruments including Civil Building Maintenance issues.
• Responsible for verification of review of Daily Log sheets, PM check lists, Calibration Certificates, Housekeeping etc.
• To Prepare / Modify / Simplify of SOPs and Protocols of Engineering / Other dept. SOPs time to time as per the plant equipment requirements.
• Preparation of Revenue Budget and Capex Budget for the respective area and same need to submit to HOD.
• Ensure maximum availability of equipment's at optimum performance level.
• To ensure the smooth operation of utilities like boiler/Refrigeration system/Water system and Effluent system etc.
• Releasing the work order related to maintenance dept.
• Verifying the GRNs and certifying the bills.
• Engineering (utility) material follows up with purchase department.
• Coordination in energy auditing and energy conversation.
• Preparing SOPs for new equipment and revision of the old one.
• Involving in the preparation of preventive checklist, preventive schedules, and calibration schedules.
• To ensure 100% statutory compliance related to PCB, boiler and other factory rules

• Financial and Budget Control:

• Prepare the annual Engineering budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure
• Responsible for end-to-end capital spend to cater to the short term and long-term organisational goals of capacity expansion, resource optimisation and machinery advancement and/or development as per plan.

• Relationship Management:

• Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.

• Qualifications and Experience Levels:

• BE/ B. Tech in Mechanical/Electrical (preferably Mechanical)
• Demonstrated experience in handling Utility operations and maintenance responsibilities in a factory set up.
• Knowledge of mechanical/ electrical/ electronic discipline.
• Technical capability and understanding
• Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), lean manufacturing.
