Job Description

Responsible to manage cyber security initiatives by evaluating, identifying, conducting POCs and implement useful inovative cyber security technologies; combined with project management knowledge/skills to track and manage the projects.

Responsibilities:

Design, evaluate, test & implement innovative, agile & cost-effective network security controls and technologies to protect from various network threats, instructions & vulnerabilities to strengthen security posture and to meet regulatory requirements, security policies, best practices and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS etc.
Conduct POC for the new cybersecurity solutions.
Understand business needs and provide solution to meet the business requirements
Define evaluation/success criteria for evaluating security controls, solutions, and technologies basis understanding, knowledge, white papers, gaps, requirements, and inputs from stake holders.
Identify leading solutions to be evaluated basis requirements and industry inputs.
Interact with OEMs / partners to conduct paper-based evaluation including scoring, weightage, & rating and present shortlisted solutions and Conduct POCs of shortlisted solutions as necessary.
Present final evaluation & recommendation to the management and process the procurement with required approvals.
Manage the project and address the issue during implementation and transition to support team with adequate handholding documentation.
Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into the designs and to implement the security controls solutions to mitigate identified gaps.
Provide inputs for security policies, procedures, and guidelines, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and support to IT teams and end-users on security-related matters.
Publish the relevant dashboards and project status updates.
Escalate deviations and violations in a timely manner.
Remain current with latest trends and emerging security technologies, security advisories/threats, industry best-practices and developments in cyber security to mitigate emerging threats.

Knowledge:

Sound experience managing security technologies and operations in a large and complex environment.
Should have sound understanding & knowledge of various security technologies & techniques like Anti-malware, ATP, APT, Sandboxing, Secure Proxy, Endpoint Security, PIM, DDoS, DoS, WAF, MDM, DLP, NAC, MFA, NGFW, NGIPS, VPN, use of AI/ML in Cloud Security, SIEM, SOAR, SOC, Cloud etc.
Solid understanding of encryption technologies, authentication & access control mechanisms, intrusion detection, and incident response techniques and technologies.
Should have sound knowledge & understanding of IT infrastructure & networking technologies, operations and security principles.
Hands-on experience will be preferred
Strong understanding of Regulatory security guidelines & master directions and security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.

Ability to perform under pressure, influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
