Job Description:

The incumbent will be responsible for:

1. Stress Analysis

a. Develop and finalize preliminary and final stress analysis plan.

b. Experience with hand calculations, using classic stress analysis techniques.

c. Linear and non- linear analysis (Static, Vibration, fatigue, endurance): metallic and non-metallic.

d. Apply appropriate material properties and boundary conditions to accurately simulate real world

loading conditions.

e. Interpret stress results to identify potential failure points.

f. Generate comprehensive documentation supporting stress analysis results for certification purposes.

2. Design optimization

a. Leading technical discussions and presenting findings to stakeholders.

b. Inputs to Design team for product and component sizing and testing team for test cases.

c. Collaborate with CFT to optimize component geometry and material selection to minimize weight while maintaining structural integrity.

d. Propose design changes based on stress analysis results to improve component performance and safety.

e. Validate FEM (Finite Element Methods) models through comparison with test data and industry standards.

f. Support and implement Design FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) findings.

3. Adherence to Compliance

• Ensure adherence to systems and documentation as per AS9100, EMS, OHSAS & ISMS, and

customer-specific requirements.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced project efficiency.

• Valuing the information received & effort spent in creating every piece of information. Ensuring the

right information accessed by right individuals. Ensuring Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability

of information.

4. Organisational Imperatives

• Participate in improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, PMO, Cross functional projects and

Business Excellence etc.

• To ensure Enterprise Risk Management for Key Processes, Subordinate and Team Development

and Adherence to Compliance and Safe Working Environment

• Follow Values, Code of Conduct and Business Ethics and Safety practices in all work operations.

Qualifications Required:

Essential: BTech : Mechanical/Aerospace

Preferred: BTech in Mechanical/Aerospace with MTech Mechanical/Aerospace

Functional/Technical Competencies Required:

F

1. Proven Experience in FEM (Finite Element Methods) software ANSYS. Knowledge of fluid

simulation added advantage.

2. Expertise in material mechanics and structural analysis

3. Fair knowledge of Aerospace NPI, TRL/MRL and value engineering methodology.

Work Experience Required:

MTech with 5 years & BTech with 8 years of experience.
