Manager-Strategic Buying and Packaging Development

As a Manager in the Packaging services and Strategic Buying (In-directs) department under Operations, your primary objective is to provide comprehensive support for Packaging Design and Development, as well as sourcing and procurement of in-direct materials for Manufacturing and R&D. You will be responsible for SAP MDM activities such as creating new material master codes for R&D, Lab, and Production Consumables, along with ensuring audit and compliance for Lab & Production Consumable sourcing. Additionally, you will be involved in value engineering and SPI projects to optimize processes and drive efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include leading Packaging Design & Development projects for new and existing products, both domestic and international. This will involve managing New Product Development Projects for Pharmaceuticals & Consumer Business, encompassing tasks such as Design & Development, Artwork Development, Transit Trials, Packaging Specification development, Stability studies, Prototype approval, Line trials, Cost negotiation, Packaging material delivery & Implementation, and exploring alternate packaging options. You will also collaborate with external supply customers in packaging material development to ensure successful implementation and delivery of packaging material On Time In Full (OTIF) as per specifications. Furthermore, you will be expected to contribute to financial delivery by implementing cost-saving initiatives for packaging materials through strategic buying endeavors. This includes driving Strategic Project Initiatives such as business analysis, spend analysis, opportunity analysis, and sourcing strategy creation. You will also focus on Value engineering in existing and new business requirements, vendor development, and design re-engineering to enhance packaging solutions for various markets. Your role will involve project management for new export customer requirements launch support, as well as overseeing Packaging Procurement Operations related to New Product Development (NPD) and Strategic Buying for in-direct materials. You will play a crucial part in Audit and Compliance preparations for R&D, as well as SAP MDM activities involving new material master code creations for R&D, Lab & Production Consumables. The minimum qualification required for this role is a Post-Graduation in Packaging, with a desired qualification of Post-Graduation in Packaging. You should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to excel in this position.,
