Job Description

To lead scientific engagement and medical strategy for the designated therapy area. The role ensures Scientific and clinical relevance, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment with commercial teams, while driving physician education and training, evidence generation, and internal scientific support


KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

Therapy Area Scientific Leadership

  • Develop and implement the medical strategy for the assigned therapy area, aligned with business goals and product lifecycle.
  • Provide clinical insights to support product differentiation and portfolio expansion.
  • Monitor therapy area trends, clinical practices, technological advances and competitor landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • To maintain an understanding of the Healthcare industry in India and stay updated on the latest technologies, clinical practices, treatment methods, research, and regulatory requirements pertaining to the therapy area
  • Regularly update the scientific information repository, and share scientific knowledge and updates with the Sales and Marketing Team,
  • Prepare reports on new developments in the Health Care & Medical Devices industry, clinical practices, research outcomes, etc., with a focus on the therapy area, for internal circulation, as required.
  • Support the Director - MA & CA in the preparation of white papers, case studies, etc., on communicating the effectiveness of TIPLs products, their clinical outcomes, and related evidence
  • Maintain relationships with global and regional counterparts to support therapy area initiatives and knowledge

Cross-Functional Collaboration, scientific support, and training to commercial teams

  • Partner with marketing, regulatory, and sales teams to ensure medical alignment and scientifically robust initiatives across functions.
  • Contribute to product positioning and value messaging.
  • Provide scientific and technical inputs to the Sales Team customer query resolution
  • Support/Lead internal training programs to enhance therapy area knowledge and clinical understanding.
  • Develop draft training modules for sales teams, covering the product technicalities, usage, clinical outcomes, etc., to seek approval of the Director - MA & CA on the content of these modules
  • Provide regular training and on-field coaching to the Sales Team of assigned business / therapy area and sales employees of Distributors as required, in order to build their capability and enhance their knowledge of therapy area, products, their usage, clinical outcomes, etc.

Preferred candidate profile

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

M.D. would be preferred

Experience

Experience in KOL engagement, clinical studies support, and cross-functional collaboration.
