Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Engineering to lead our software development team in delivering high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and J2EE technologies, along with a proven track record of managing engineering teams in Medical Imaging domain and driving software development best practices. This role will require an individual who can effectively mentor and guide team members while ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead and manage the engineering team, providing direction and support to ensure successful project delivery.
Review low-level designs (LLD) and data model that align with project requirements and industry best practices.
Leverage tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance coding efficiency and support the team in adopting new technologies.
Oversee programming efforts, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality code and foster continuous improvement within the team.
Implement and maintain unit test frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage and reliability of the software.
Review and guide performance tuning techniques with the development teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
Experience in developing Medical Imaging applications is preferred.
Familiar or understanding on the DICOM Imaging standards is preferrable.
Understanding of Medical Imaging modalities is preferrable.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in Java and J2EE technologies, with a deep understanding of frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Java enterprise application development.
Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS) is a plus.
Experience database design and management, including SQL and Oracle databases.
Experience in application development using Azure cloud framework technologies is preferred.
Proficient in using version control systems, particularly Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices in software development.
Experience in developing Medical Imaging applications is preferred.
Familiar or understanding on the DICOM Imaging standards is preferrable.
Understanding of Medical Imaging modalities is preferrable.

Experience:

10-15 years of overall software engineering experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java and J2EE development.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Proven track record of successful project delivery and team management.
Experience in developing Medical Imaging applications is preferred.
Familiar or understanding on the DICOM Imaging standards is preferrable.
Understanding of Medical Imaging modalities is preferrable.

Education:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech/ME/MTech) or Computer Applications (MCA) from a recognized institution.
