Job Description

The Manager / Sr. Manager Accounts & Finance will be responsible for leading the end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation, and financial control processes of the organization. The role requires strong leadership, analytical capability, business acumen, and the ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders to support financial decision-making and ensure robust financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage overall accounting operations including

    General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Inventory Accounting, and Fixed Assets

    .
  • Ensure accurate and timely

    month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing

    .
  • Prepare and review

    financial statements

    in compliance with

    Indian GAAP / Accounting Standards

    .
  • Ensure

    finalization of books of accounts

    , reconciliation, and reporting.

2. Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all

    Direct & Indirect Taxation

    laws including

    GST, TDS, and Income Tax

    .
  • Manage

    tax audits, assessments, litigation

    , and provide advisory support for

    domestic and international tax transactions

    .
  • Coordinate and liaise with

    statutory auditors, cost auditors, tax consultants, and internal audit teams

    .
  • Ensure

    ROC filings and statutory reporting

    are completed within timelines.

3. Financial Planning, Analysis & Controls

  • Manage

    cash flow planning, fund flow management, cash budgeting, and financial forecasting

    .
  • Conduct

    monthly financial performance analysis

    , variances, cost monitoring, and present financial dashboards to management.
  • Evaluate

    costs, pricing, contribution margins

    , and support business planning decisions.
  • Work with banks and financial institutions for

    liquidity planning, fund raising & working capital management

    .

4. Systems, Processes & Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and improve

    finance SOPs, internal controls, and accounting policies

    .
  • Promote

    digital transformation

    and automation across finance processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance

    productivity, ownership, and capability

    .

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • MBA / CA / CMA / PG in Finance / Accounting

    (LLB or Diploma in Taxation is an added advantage).
  • Minimum

    10+ years

    of relevant experience in

    Accounts, Finance & Taxation

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    Indian GAAP, GST, Income Tax, and Corporate Law

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    ERP / Accounting Systems

    and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership abilities.

  • Experience in

    manufacturing / engineering / industrial

    sector preferred.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to timelines.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
