Job Description

Territory: West India

Base Location: Pune

Role & responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the Sales Team of Western region.
  • Prepare the sales and order intake budget, including business development strategies, in alignment with the company's standards.
  • Cascade targets and strategies to the team, providing facilitation and coaching to achieve desired results.
  • Accurately forecast and ensure monthly sales targets are met, addressing any deviations promptly.
  • Collaborate with the technology applications team to deliver suitable solutions to customers.
  • Aggressively identify new opportunities and potential prospects to enhance market share.
  • Educate customers on the company's products and solutions, and facilitate technology upgrades.
  • Organize product demonstrations at the company's experience center.
  • Analyze order losses and implement corrective and preventive actions to drive sales growth.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, mission, and values.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, dealers, and partners.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification:

  • Technical Graduation with 15 to 20 years of experience in selling capital equipment.
  • MBA from a reputed institute will be an added advantage.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in selling capital equipment or special purpose machines including project selling, particularly with a multinational company.
  • Experience in working and dealing with the western states customers will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in leading a team by setting strategic targets, providing roadmap and timely mentoring.
  • Ability in understanding detailed customer requirements and provide solution-based selling with strong business acumen.
  • Ability in exploring new business opportunities with a strong focus on numbers and market strategies.
  • Ability in gathering market information, understanding competitor strategies, and developing unique selling strategies to boost market share.
  • Ability to simplify, communicate, and present information strategically and logically to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work effectively with Technology Applications, Customer Care, and Marketing departments to drive strategies for market share enhancement.
