Job Description

The Manager- Research and advocacy The Manager- Research and advocacy supports the Head-Innovation and is responsible for managing research projects and advocacy at Bright Future. The objective of this role is to ensure planning and supervising research projects, monitoring project progress, supporting M and E team members, implementing new methodologies, writing reports and presenting research
findings.
Research and advocacy Manager needs to articulate the impact of the program to donors, beneficiaries and other stakeholders to strengthen the program and organizations sustainability This position also involves overseeing the implementation of advocacy strategies of the organization. He/she must have extensive experience in policy, promotional and advocacy work.

REQUIRED competencies and skills
-Knowledge of Research methods and statistical analysis
-Knowledge of project cycle management ,LFA (Logframe analysis) ,
-Situation/context analysis, conceptual models,theories of change
-Experience in designing tools ,strategies for Data collection,analysis for the survey and research
-Excellent management and coordination skills
-Possession of strong organizational, reporting and analytical skills;
- Strong Interpersonal skills and good communication skills
- Good written skills in English

Job responsibilities

Research Take lead in the design and implementation of a research project (direct/indirect to track delivery against goals and objectives. Develop tools, analyze data, prepare draft research reports, Support needs based secondary research and conduct surveys as per requirement of the pilot projects.

Advocacy - Take lead in the evidence based advocacy activities.Build good partnerships and engage in advocacy activities with key stakeholders.Develop short term and long term advocacy strategies.collect and analyze best practices in
the field of advocacy

Impact study Analysis of data collected for assessment of progress and areas for improvement. In addition, facilitate periodic evaluations of Bright Future s program Impact

Periodic field visits -To conduct assessment and make recommendations for key challenges about programme outcome and Impact.

Reports - Contributing to Annual Reports, Impact report,
Quarterly report, Half-yearly Progress and Monthly MIS report for donors with 100 % data accuracy.

Provide support in writing project proposals and MoU.

Educational
Requirements: Postgraduate degree in management, development studies, public policy, or related areas

Work experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in the following fields-
  • Design and implementation of a community-based research project
  • Prior experience in community-based implementation approaches, with familiarity of relevant concepts, including socio-economic empowerment, gender equality, financial inclusion, rural development, skill development or similar, shall be given preference.
