Manager - R&D

Hiring for a leading specialty chemical manufacturing company having multiple manufacturing facilities in India. The position shall be based out of their manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam (Vizag).

Designation: Manager - R&D (Site)

Location: Vishakhapatnam (Vizag)

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing the experiments and driving results.
• Ensuring finished goods/samples dispatches as per agreed terms of the customer and timelines.
• Optimize reaction conditions, purification methods, and synthetic strategies to improve efficiency, yield, and reproducibility of synthesis processes.
• Develop innovative solutions to overcome synthetic hurdles and achieve project objectives.
• Collaborate with T&D and Production departments to develop sustainable chemical processes to scale-up.
• Preparation and reviewing of SOPs.
• Delivering required training to the team to achieve productivity
• Ensure safety at workplace-safe handling and transport of hazardous chemicals, instruments and glassware.
• Ensuring 100% compliance in scheduling and execution of calibration and preventive maintenance of lab equipment / instruments.

Competencies:

• Excellent knowledge in synthetic organic chemistry & experimental skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must have proficiency in different literature search tools
• Must have handled a team size of min 2 to 3.
• Good interpersonal skills and team player
• Good presentation skills.
• Working knowledge in SAP is desirable.

Qualification:

Nature of Experience:

• 8 to 12 years in Chemical or Agro-chemical industry with experience in multi-step organic synthesis and process development chemistry.
• Experience in project management and fluorination chemistry is desirable.
