Job Description

The Project Manager Communication Specialist will play a critical role in promoting organizational best practices, leading Information, Education & Communication (IEC) campaigns, driving strategic communication initiatives, and managing key events under Project Pragati . This position is responsible for strategic content development, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and government liaison to ensure effective implementation and dissemination of project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Program Implementation & Communications Document best practices through multimedia content (e.g., video documentaries, case studies, and print collateral) for dissemination at national and international platforms. Conceptualize and execute communication campaigns, including career and livelihood awareness initiatives under government schemes to increase open school enrollments. Plan and manage project-related events such as conferences, seminars, roundtable discussions, knowledge forums, training sessions, and field visits. Prepare comprehensive communication and outreach materials, including press briefs, newsletters, media content, and social media posts. Government Liaison Build and maintain strong working relationships with state-level government departments and officials. Represent the organization in official meetings, workshops, and initiatives to align project goals with state education policies. Facilitate collaboration with government bodies for effective program delivery and policy integration. Stakeholder Engagement Engage with educational institutions, NGOs, and community-based organizations to expand outreach and strengthen program visibility. Forge strategic partnerships to support the sustainability and scale of career awareness initiatives. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting Develop and maintain monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess communication effectiveness and project performance. Generate periodic reports for internal teams and external stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, learnings, and recommendations. Social Media & Digital Communication Design and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase digital engagement and visibility of government programs. Create and manage engaging content for various platforms; track analytics to optimize outreach. Support the development of campaigns for specific departmental initiatives and public awareness efforts. Qualifications and Experience Postgraduate degree in management, marketing, media & communication, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or media management, preferably in the development or social sector. Proven track record in designing and implementing IEC campaigns and managing external communications. Key Competencies and Attributes Strong experience in developing and executing communication strategies across various media channels. Demonstrated ability to influence policy discussions and contribute to reform initiatives. Expertise in organizing knowledge-sharing forums and documenting outcomes for replication and scalability. Proficiency in data visualization and the creation of outcome-based dashboards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities. High proficiency in MS Office, internet-based tools, and social media platforms.
