Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The Maintenance and Utilities Manager oversees the maintenance, repair, and operation of utility systems within a facility, ensuring their efficient and reliable functioning. This role involves managing a team, implementing preventive maintenance programs, addressing issues promptly, and optimizing resource usage.

Overseeing Utility Systems:
Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of utility systems, including water, electricity, HVAC, and other related systems.
Team Supervision:
Supervises and leads a maintenance team, including technicians and contractors, ensuring they are well-trained and properly equipped.
Preventive Maintenance:
Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and systems to minimize downtime and ensure longevity.
Issue Resolution:
Addresses maintenance issues promptly, conducts inspections, and coordinates repairs to minimize disruptions.
Resource and Budget Management:
Manages budgets, resources, and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks, while exploring opportunities to optimize energy usage and reduce costs.
Safety Compliance:
Ensures compliance with safety regulations and maintains a safe working environment.
Expense Tracking:
Manages and tracks maintenance budgets and expenses.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 20+ years of experience in Machine Shop Maintenance (HMC, VMC) from a manufacturing background.
Must be capable of handling utility maintenance and plant maintenance.
Very strong in both Electrical Maintenance and Mechanical Maintenance.
Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other related areas.
