Manager - Materials Management

Role Overview: You will be leading the supply planning team for Global Eaton businesses, focusing on driving material planning, execution, and continuous improvement on a global scale. Your primary responsibility will involve rendering functional leadership to achieve strategic objectives, driving high-impact projects, and overseeing the learning, development, and talent management of a tiered team. Key Responsibilities: - Provide leadership direction to the team within GSCCoE, ensuring the development and deployment of standard processes across all business units. - Demonstrate expertise in material planning in a global, multi-ERP, multi-business model environment with a strong delivery focus. - Lead the development and management of the Buyer and Planner team, implementing and maintaining metrics for performance evaluation. - Build organizational capability through development plans, mentoring, driving accountability, cross-training, and succession planning. - Play a key role in deploying newly defined responsibilities, streamlining operations, increasing engagement in Supply Planning, and suggesting best practices to Eaton sites. - Drive key initiatives of the Materials COE Goals & priorities in People, Processes, and Tools while enabling the team to achieve Business Impact goals. - Drive customer engagement and satisfaction by meeting customer expectations, building customer-facing KPIs, and ensuring timely resolution to customer queries. - Collaborate cross-functionally with departments like SIOP, production, finance, and leadership team. - Manage team dynamics to keep the team motivated, ensure fair performance evaluation, and lead a large tiered team effectively. Qualifications: - Graduate with a Masters's degree, preferably in Materials/Production/Operations Management; Engineering Graduate preferred. - 14-18 years of relevant experience in Materials Planning, Inventory Optimization & Control.
