As an Electronics Production Manager in the defence sector, your role will involve overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process of critical electronic products. Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of high-reliability products under strict timelines while complying with defence standards. You will be required to coordinate with various departments such as engineering, quality, design, and product management to achieve stringent performance benchmarks. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee production of defence-grade electronic systems with end-to-end responsibility, ensuring compliance with defence manufacturing and testing standards such as IPC 610, IPC 620, JS55555, and MIL Std. - Collaborate with cross-functional departments like design, quality, and supply chain to meet performance and reliability benchmarks. - Manage production schedules, resource planning, and cost control in alignment with defence contracts. - Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis. - Mentor and supervise the production team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. - Optimize processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance throughput. - Evaluate and implement new tools, automation, and digitalization to modernize production lines. - Conduct internal and external audits. - Manage capital expenditure (CapEx), annual budget planning, resource allocation, cost estimation, and control. Required Skills And Competencies: Technical skills: - Knowledge of assembly and testing of electronics units and PCB assembly. - Familiarity with analog circuits, digital circuits, wire harnesses, schematics, and drawings. - Understanding of Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and ESS specifications. - Proficiency in MIL standards and safety standards. - Experience in troubleshooting and debugging units and cards. - Strong grasp of quality control standards such as IPC and ISO. - Familiarity with ERP systems, PLM systems, Power Bi, and ESD precautions. Leadership & Soft Skills: - Ability to engage in strategic planning and execution. - Proficiency in team leadership and mentoring. - Effective communication with cross-functional teams. - Decision-making under pressure. - Stakeholder management skills.,
